Bhutan – Land of Smiles

This tiny Himalayan kingdom measures its GDP in terms smiles. Bhutan is the land of the mythical dragon enchants visitors with its lush green landscapes and gushing rivers. Join us for an 8 day tour of calm and tranquility amidst the majestic Himalayas.

Day 1 Bagdogra Airport– Phuentsholling (Approx – 165 Kms 4 hrs)

Assistance on arrival at Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Phuentsholling. Check-in to your
hotel on arrival. Evening see the local market around. Overnight in Phuentsholling

Day 2

Phuentsholling – Thimpu (Approx – 180 Kms 6 hrs)

Post breakfast process the permit and take the transfer to Thimpu. Check-in to your hotelon arrival. Afternoon visit the local market around the Clock Tower. Can also hop in to a disc. Overnight stay in Thimpu.       

Day 3

Thimpu - Sightseeing

After breakfast embark on a full day sightseeing tour of Thimpu including visit to BBS Tower
outer view point, Golden Buddha, SAARC Building, India House and Rajeshwari Devi temple.
Visit the Simply Bhutan museum to get a glimpse of local Bhutan culture. Overnight stay in
Thimpu.

Day 4


Thimpu to Punakha (approx 77km, 3hrs)

After breakfast drive to Punakha / Wangdue, On the way Stop at Dochu-La-Pass (3150 mts.).
to view the higher Himalayas. Arrival at Punakha check in at hotel. After noon visit Punakha
Dzong - built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. For many years until the time of the
second king, it served as the seat of the Government. The Dzong was named Druk
Pungthang Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness). Punakha is still the winter
residence of Je-Khenpo and King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck convened the first National
Assembly here in 1952. After that take a short and easy hike to visit the Hanging bridge and
Chhimi Lhakhang - The Temple, also known as “The Temple of Fertility” was built by Lama
Drukpa Kuenley, “The Devine Mad Man”. Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdue.

Day 5

Punkha – Paro (Approx – 140 Kms 5 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Paro (7,483 ft.). Enjoy a thrilling experience of white water rafting
on Punakha river (on your own cost). On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Ta
Dzong - National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangkha, etc.
Rinpung Dzong - Meaning "fortress of the heap of jewels". The dzong now serves as the
administrative and judicial seat of Paro. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Paro.

Day 6 Paro – Chele la Pass – Paro

Post breakfast excursion trip to Chele la pass and back. Chele la pass gives you a birds eye
view of the beautiful landscape of Paro. Picture yourself in local Bhutanese costumes (on
your own cost). Overnight in Paro.

Day 7

Paro – Lataguri (Approx 240 Kms – 6 Hrs)

After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Lataguri Via Phuentsholing. On arrival
check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Lataguri.

Day 8

 

Lataguri – Bagdogra Airport (Approx – 165 Kms 4 hrs)

 

 Post breakfast take the departure transfer to Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey. Tour ends with the magical memories of the trip.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Permit for Bhutan:

Indian nationals do not require any visa for Bhutan. A permit will be issued at the entry point on production of a passport or Voter ID (only valid document for issuing the Bhutan Entry permit) and 04 passport size photographs.

Cost Includes:

  • Return economy class airfare.
  • Travel insurance upto 59 years of age. Guests who are 60-70 years have to pay Rs. 500/- extra and those who are 70 years and above have to pay Rs. 800 extra
  • Accommodation on Twin Sharing basis (Third Person extra Mattress or Bed Roll)
  • Meals -Day 1 – Dinner
  • Day 2 to Day 7 – Breakfast, lunch and Dinner
  • Day 8 - Breakfast
  • All transfers & sightseeing by dedicated vehicle – (As per itinerary)
  • Transport:

Cost Excludes:

  • Meals during Train / Air Travel
  • Additional sightseeing or extra usage of vehicle, other than mentioned in the itinerary.
  • Anything which is not included in the inclusion
  • Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary / stay on account of flight cancellation due to bad weather, landslides, ill health, and roadblocks and / or any factors beyond control, political disturbances (strikes), etc (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot).

Note:

  • Valid Passport with expiry date not less than 6 months from date of travel
  • Cancellation rules apply
  • GST 5% applicable over and above tour cost

CANCELLATION RULES:-

  • NIL refund for cancellations within 7 days prior to tour date
  • 25% refund for cancellation between 8- 14 days prior to the tour date.
  • 50% refund for  cancellation between 15-30 days prior to tour date.
  • 75% refund for cancellation  31 days prior to tour date.
